In our space gallery, you can enjoy the beauty of Indonesian archipelago which observed from MODIS Aqua/Terra sensor. Since the MODIS Aqua/Terra sensor were passive sensor, we only provide the area with minimum cloud cover. All the data were derived from Goddard Space Flight Center -National Aeronautic and Space Administration (GSFC-NASA) and processed on high spatial resolution . In order to meet with maximum size which can be uploaded on this blog, we reduce the image resolution. The real image which resulted from process is finer rather than image which displayed on this blog.
On the east side of Indonesia, you can see the wonderful color of coastal Papua. Coastal discharge from Papua shallow rivers are responsible of this color. Move to the west, you can see the beauty of Timor Island, Sumba Island, Sawu Sea, Lombok Island and Sumbawa Island. Crater of Rinjani Mountain and Tambora Mountain can be seen on Lombok Island and Sumbawa Island image.
On west side of Indonesia Archipelago, we provide the wonderful color of Aceh and Nias Island before tsunami and post tsunami. Laut Tawar Lake in Aceh Province also can be seen through MODIS image. You also can see the wonderful color of Malacca Strait and the famous lake on Sumatra, Toba Lake with Samosir Island.
On the center side of Indonesia, you can see the beauty of the most famous island on the world, Bali Island. A Beautiful lake, called Batur Lake, can be seen on the image of this island. I remind you, don’t forget to see the the wonderful color of coastal Madura Island and coastal of Kangean Archipelago.
We still processing the data of Borneo, Celebes and Moluccan Islands.

It looks really nice. The only thing I would note is that it doesn’t
seem like very many of the images are 250m or 500m resolution. Maybe
I’m wrong.

Mark, I reduced the image resolution in order to meet maximum upload size of blog. The image processing resulted image with the size above 175 mb. The image on my blog has size only about 7 mb
